Delivery and Return Policy

Cidade Velha Diving sells diving services, PADI courses and related activities (not physical goods shipped by post). This policy explains how the service is “delivered” and when returns/refunds apply.

1. Nature of the service

After online payment and booking confirmation by our team, the service is provided in person at our dive center in Cidade Velha (Santiago Island, Cape Verde), on the agreed date and time.

2. Delivery / provision of the service

  • Online payment confirms the agreed amount for your reservation.
  • You receive a 4-digit reference code and, when you provide your email, a PDF receipt.
  • “Delivery” of the service takes place on the activity day: briefing, equipment (if included) and the dive/course as booked.
  • Please arrive at the center at the time stated in your confirmation and meet safety and documentation requirements (medical form, certification, etc.).

3. Booking confirmation

Online payment does not replace contacting us. After paying, message us on WhatsApp or email so we can register the date, group size and activity details. Only after that confirmation is the booking fully scheduled.

4. Return / cancellation and refund

  • Groups of more than 5 people: cancellation at least 10 days ahead — full refund; less than 10 days — no refund.
  • Bookings of up to 5 people: cancellation at least 48 hours ahead — full refund; less than 48 hours — no refund.
  • Company cancellation (weather, safety or unforeseen circumstances): alternative date or full refund.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within a reasonable time, subject to Vinti4/SISP and card issuer timelines.

5. Rented equipment

Rented equipment must be returned in the same condition as provided. Loss or damage may be charged as set out in the Terms and Conditions.
