Cidade Velha Diving is a PADI dive centre based in Cidade Velha, Santiago Island, Cabo Verde. We offer diving services to visitors from many countries, including the European Union. This policy explains how we handle personal data on our website, WhatsApp, email, bookings and registration forms.

2. Data we collect

Identity and contact details (name, email, phone, address, nationality/city).
Booking and course details, dive certification and experience.
Health and medical questionnaire answers, signatures and dates — only as needed for diving safety and PADI/centre records.
Payment details processed by payment providers (we do not store full card numbers).
Technical data: IP address, browser, device, pages visited — only if you accept analytics cookies.

3. Why we use your data

To answer enquiries and manage bookings, courses and payments.
To run dives safely and keep required dive records.
To improve the website, if you consent to analytics.
To send news or offers only if you ask us to.

Legal bases (including GDPR where it applies to EU/EEA visitors): contract and pre-contract steps; legal/safety obligations for diving; legitimate interests in running the centre; consent for analytics and marketing.

Payment processors (for example card and local payment methods).
Website hosting and email providers.
Google, only if you accept Analytics.
Authorities when the law requires it.

Some providers may be outside Cabo Verde (for example in the EU or the United States). We only share what is needed for the service.

We keep enquiry and booking data as long as needed to provide the service, keep dive safety records and meet legal obligations, then we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Depending on applicable law (Cabo Verde data-protection rules and, for EU/EEA residents, the GDPR), you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of your data, and withdraw consent. 8. Children

Minors may only dive and submit forms with a parent or guardian as required by our registration process.

9. Third-party links

Instagram, YouTube, maps and similar sites have their own privacy policies.
